Creative with freedom

REEL gives you the freedom to creative an advert in whatever medium you choose. Whether 2D/3D animation, film, music, dance and traditional art. We support art in every expression, however it must be conducted in a LEGAL, ETHICAL, CONSENSUAL WAY. The content of the advertisement must be clearly stated it is an advert for REEL.
REEL may reject your submission if the advert contains excessive and extensive graphic material.
Consent

As with creating anything you need to ensure you have all the present parties in your advert have written consent (in the form of a Talent Release Form) and ensure you have all the correct permissions from any music, video, effects and audio you decide to use. REEL will ask if you have permission to use these services on submission, whether from the author themselves or the third party service.
REEL will ask you to provide evidence for a consent form. By submission REEL assumes that all correct forms and permissions have been completed and the applicant retains full legal responsibility if any issues arise.

AI
Our Rules

In this current creative climate AI poses a huge threat to our industry, this is why here at REEL we will not promote or accept any material heavily created by AI. If our team detects that a large proportion of your advert has been made with AI then your video will not be processed further.
We will allow AI to help with: script editing, idea generation in pre production and for minor photo touch-ups (such as facial retouching or removing background objects).
However we will not accept AI generated videos, photos, or audio. If our team suspects that AI has been used, within our threshold, we would request a breakdown of your production process in order for us to determine when AI was used.
REEL reserves the right to reject any entry if they deem the content to be AI. Reel may conduct future checks during improved software, even after distribution of the advert. If this does occur then REEL retains the rights to withdrawal the advert from all platforms and request up to 80% discount repaid from the applicant.
Our Rights

When you submit your advert, REEL then retains the rights to redistribute the advert through their various social media channels. REEL will aim to give credit to the creator in each repost of the advert. The creator/s retains the right to republish the advert through their own platforms. Any royalties that the advert main retain on REEL's platforms will be entitled to REEL.
OUR GRADING
What it looks like from our end

REEL judging panel has diverse art preferences: we all have our own art styles and niches thus your advert will resonate with at least one member of our committee.
REEL will judge your advert based on these categories:
Watchability (If we can't watch it, our audience can't either)
Duration (Short film or bumper ads)
Editing (This is not the MOST editing, sometimes not noticing an edit is the best)
Broad Appeal (How Niche is your advert?)
Content (This can be acting, quality of the art work, cinematography, sound design)
Discounts Process
What it looks like from your end

After submitting your advert, REEL's team will review and allocate a discount which you will be eligible for, up to 25%. This process may take some time, we will notify you during each stage of the process.
'Submission Received' (REEL has received your submission)
'AI flag check' (REEL has noticed AI present then you must declare which processes)
'Minimum AI use detected' (Your advert has met the AI minimum requirements)
'Deliberating...' (This is where REEL team reviews your advert)
'The award goes to...' (This is where REEL provides your discount code and percentage)

GETTING THE DISCOUNT

Congratulations on all your hard work, it will not go without rewards. REEL, whilst advertising your advert across their platforms, will provide you with a single use discount code up to 25%. This code should be applied at the check out.
